Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 1 October 2026
Welcome to Obsidian Squad. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and services. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website.

Every account has a role: member, administrator or SuperAdmin. Where these Terms say a feature is for administrators or SuperAdmins, that describes the usual arrangement. SuperAdmins decide which roles can use each feature, and can allow or block a feature for an individual account (for example, letting a trusted member edit the Guides). These settings can change at any time, and changes are recorded in the activity log (Section 6.4).

4.2 Limited Licence

4.4 Star Citizen and Cloud Imperium Games
Obsidian Squad is an independent fan organisation and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloud Imperium Games Corporation or any of its affiliates. "Star Citizen" and related marks are trademarks of Cloud Imperium Games Corporation. All rights reserved.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Discord
Our Website integrates with Discord for authentication purposes. Your use of Discord is subject to Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for Discord's practices or the availability of Discord services.
5.2 External Links
Our Website may contain links to third-party websites (including Roberts Space Industries, Discord, and YouTube). We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.
5.3 Content Delivery Networks
We use third-party content delivery networks (CDNs) such as CloudFlare to serve certain resources (e.g., Font Awesome icons). These services may have their own terms of use.
5.4 Gameplay Information Sources
The Mining Board, Supply Chain, Blueprints page, Retrofitter, Ship Codex and Trade Ledger / Trade Routes pages retrieve gameplay information from third-party sources such as UEX, FleetYards and the Star Citizen Wiki, including commodity, refinery, scan-signature, blueprint, recipe, crafting-time, material, ship, ship-price and location information, and ship images. This information is cached on our server and refreshed periodically (from every thirty minutes up to once a day, or up to seven days for blueprint source information). These sources are independent from Obsidian Squad and their data may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
5.5 Organisation Member List (Officers page)
The Officers page is built automatically from our organisation's own page on Roberts Space Industries. Once a day (and when an administrator asks for it sooner) our server reads that public member list and records, for those members holding an officer rank only, the handle, display name, country and profile picture shown on their public RSI profile. Nothing is typed in by us, so a change of rank on RSI reaches this page by itself.
Roberts Space Industries is independent from Obsidian Squad. Their list may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and we do not guarantee that the Officers page is current. See Section 10.5 of our Privacy Policy for what this means for the people listed, and how an entry can be removed.
6. User-Generated Content, Feedback, Mining Board, Supply Chain, Meets and Pledge Rain
6.1 Print Requests
When you submit a print request, you retain ownership of any original content in your message. However, by submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process your submission for the purpose of fulfilling your request.
Print requests require you to provide your Discord username. This is used to provide you with custom 3D print files and to contact you regarding your request. Your Discord username is stored alongside your print request data.
6.2 Feedback: Bug Reports and Suggestions
You may submit a bug report identifying a page of the Website and describing an issue you have encountered, or a suggestion describing a change or addition you would like to see. By submitting either, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of investigating and resolving the issue, or considering and implementing the suggestion. Neither must contain passwords, payment-card information, sensitive personal data, or unnecessary real-world personal information.
We are under no obligation to act on a suggestion, to act on it within any particular time, or to credit or compensate you if we do. A suggestion you submit may be implemented in whole, in part, or not at all.
When a Website administrator marks your bug report or suggestion as resolved, a record is kept of which administrator did so and when. If that administrator's account is later deleted, this record is anonymised and the item will show as resolved by "an admin" rather than by name.
6.3 Mining Board Requests and Claims
The Mining Board is a member-only coordination tool. When you create a mining request, the Website stores your Website username together with the request details you submit, such as the ore, desired quality, amount in SCU, notes, status, and relevant timestamps. These details are displayed to other authenticated members using the Mining Board.
When you claim, unclaim, or complete a request, your Website username may be stored and displayed as the miner/claimer for that request. Completed requests may be retained in the Mining Board archive and may contribute to Mining Board statistics. By using the Mining Board, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process the content you submit as necessary to operate the service.
6.4 Website Activity Records
To operate, administer, and moderate the Website, certain actions are recorded in an administrator activity log. This is a single, site-wide log, not something specific to any one feature: logged actions can include creating, claiming, unclaiming, completing, cancelling, or administratively deleting a mining request, print request, or bug report, Supply Chain actions such as claims, craft requests and sending ore or items to another member, organising a meet on the Meets page (meets, hotels and events, and a member's post or photo edited or removed by an administrator), 3D prints being added, edited or deleted, a request for a meet photo to be taken down, a SuperAdmin changing who can use which feature, and an administrator deleting a member's account. Records may include a user ID, Website username, the action performed, the affected request or target, limited details of that action, and a timestamp. Activity logs are available to authorised Website administrators and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This is operational logging and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Separately, the Website counts page views and outside-link clicks as anonymous daily totals that cannot be linked to any visitor. You can turn this counting off at any time, and it is off automatically if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal (see Section 9.4 of our Privacy Policy).
Where an administrator deletes a member's account, a separate log entry records only that an administrator carried out a deletion and which administrator did so. That entry does not name, number, or otherwise identify the deleted account, so it cannot be used to reconstruct who was removed once their data has been purged.
6.5 Mining Board Rules and In-Game Arrangements
- Mining Board requests and status updates must be submitted honestly and in good faith.
- Do not include passwords, payment-card information, sensitive personal data, or unnecessary real-world personal information in Mining Board notes.
- Do not submit personal information about another person without their permission.
- Any delivery, payment, reward, or other arrangement made through the Mining Board is an in-game/member-to-member arrangement unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Obsidian Squad does not guarantee that a request will be claimed, completed, delivered, or paid, or that information supplied by another member is accurate.
6.6 aUEC Amounts Offered in the Supply Chain
Throughout the Supply Chain, including the Mining Board and the Distribution board, you may record an amount of aUEC (the in-game currency of Star Citizen) that you are offering another member, and they may record a different amount in reply. Where an amount is described as "agreed", that means only that both members recorded the same figure on the Website.
The Website does not handle, hold, transfer or process money of any kind, whether real-world or in-game. It records what members say they will pay and nothing more. An amount recorded on the Website is not a payment, is not held in escrow, creates no account balance, and is not a debt, contract or obligation enforceable by Obsidian Squad. Obsidian Squad does not guarantee that any amount offered or agreed will be paid, and will not recover, refund, adjudicate or compensate any amount. Any actual exchange takes place between members inside Star Citizen and is entirely a matter between them, at their own risk.
Choosing to offer nothing is a legitimate choice and is not displayed to other members.
6.7 Supply Chain
The Supply Chain is a member-only tool for tracking stock, blueprints and crafts and for coordinating materials and craft requests between members. The Mining Board is part of it. Stock you keep in your Warehouse is private. Stock you share to the Distribution board, claims, craft requests (including any reason you give when rejecting one), and Mining Board jobs show your Website username to the members involved or browsing them. When you own a blueprint, other members can see your Website username on the Marketplace and whether you have enough materials for it, but not your quantities, qualities or storage locations.
Using "Hold: Request Ore" posts Mining Board jobs under your Website username for the materials you are short of, naming the item and the member who requested it. When a miner marks a Mining Board job as filled, the ore is recorded in the miner's warehouse and the requesting member is notified, including the storage location the miner entered; the miner can then send it to the requesting member's warehouse. By using the Supply Chain, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process the content you submit as necessary to operate it.
- Record stock, claims, hand-overs, crafts and deliveries honestly and in good faith. A holder should only confirm a claim, and a miner should only mark a job filled or send ore, once the in-game hand-over has actually happened.
- The Supply Chain records what members tell it - it does not move anything in Star Citizen. All in-game trades, hand-overs, payments and crafting are member-to-member arrangements, and Obsidian Squad does not guarantee that any claim, request, job or delivery will be honoured.
- Do not include passwords, payment-card information, sensitive personal data, or unnecessary real-world personal information in notes, locations or rejection reasons.
- Log files you import are read in your browser; only the blueprint names found are sent to us.
The public Blueprints page is available to everyone. It shows the blueprint catalogue and whether the organisation holds each blueprint, without identifying any member.
6.8 Pledge Rain Leaderboard
Pledge Rain is a browser-based arcade game available to anyone visiting the Website, whether or not you have an account. Completing a run submits your result - ships refused, wave reached, and in-game wallet total - to a leaderboard.
If you are signed in, your result is recorded under your Website username on the Members Leaderboard. You may only ever hold one entry on the Members Leaderboard at a time: submitting a new run updates your existing entry when it beats your previous best, rather than adding a second entry alongside it.
If you are not signed in, your run is recorded under a randomly generated guest tag (for example, "GUEST482913") created fresh by our server each time you play. This tag is not linked to your account (if you have one but are not signed in), your browser, or any other identifying information, and is not reused between runs.
For privacy, the Members Leaderboard and Guest Leaderboard are kept separate. The Guest Leaderboard is public and visible to any visitor. The Members Leaderboard, which shows member Website usernames, is only ever returned to a signed-in member; a signed-out visitor cannot view it or any member's leaderboard entry.
6.9 Ship Codex and Org Fleet
The Ship Codex lists Star Citizen ships and vehicles, using information from third-party sources (see Section 5.4). Anyone may browse it. Signed-in members may also record which ships they own, and how many of each, to build their fleet.
Your fleet is shown to other signed-in members: the Ship Codex and the Org Fleet page name you as an owner of a ship and show how many you have recorded. Visitors who are not signed in see only which ships the organisation owns and the totals, never who owns them. Only record ships you are happy for other members to see, and remember that a fleet is what you tell us: nothing is checked against your Roberts Space Industries account, which we never ask for or access.
You can change or remove any of your ships at any time on the Ship Codex, and deleting your account removes your fleet entirely (see Section 7.1).
6.10 Meets (In-Person Meetups)
The Meets page is a members-only tool for organising Obsidian Squad's in-person meetups. SuperAdmins create each meet and post its official details (dates, place, hotels, events during the meet and airport-to-hotel notes); administrators can also edit events. Members can post their own room choice, flights and requests to be collected from the airport, change them while the meet is open and remove them at any time; meet photos are shared by administrators. What you post is shown with your Website username to every signed-in member. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process it on the Meets page for as long as it is kept there (see Section 4.7 and Section 7 of our Privacy Policy).
When using the Meets page you agree that:
- You will post information about yourself only, unless the other person has agreed to it being posted.
- You will not post booking references, payment-card details, passport or identity-document details, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in any note or caption.
- If you share photos (administrators and SuperAdmins), you will only upload photos you have the right to share, and only where you reasonably believe the people shown are happy for them to be shared with members. You will respect a request to take a photo down.
- Any member may ask for a photo to be taken down; please do so for a genuine reason, such as being in it.
- You will use other members' travel details and anything else you learn from the page only to arrange things for the meet, and will not share them outside Obsidian Squad or use them to contact, follow or find anyone for any other purpose.
- We may edit, hide or remove anything posted on the Meets page where we consider it necessary for safety, privacy, accuracy or running the Website, including hiding a photo as soon as anyone asks for it to be removed.
Sharing a photo on the Meets page does not allow Obsidian Squad to use it anywhere else. We will not use a meet photo on the public Website or social media without the agreement of the people who can be identified in it. Room choices, flights and pickup requests are deleted automatically 30 days after the meet ends.
6.11 Content Standards
Any content you submit must not contain material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards.
7. Account Termination
7.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time through the Account page. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon deletion:
- Your Website account record will be permanently removed from the active Website database
- Your print requests will be permanently deleted
- Your bug reports will be permanently deleted
- Mining Board requests created by you, including completed/archived requests, will be permanently deleted
- Your Mining Board statistics record will be permanently deleted
- If you currently claim another member's unfinished mining request, that claim will be released and your claimant identity removed
- If you previously completed another member's mining request, that member's archived request may remain, but your claimant identity will be removed and shown as UNKNOWN
- If you marked another member's bug report as resolved while an administrator, that report may remain, but your admin identity will be removed and shown as "an admin"
- If you hold a Pledge Rain Members Leaderboard entry, it will be retained but your user ID will be removed and it will be shown as UNKNOWN rather than deleted outright, and it will then appear only among the public/guest results rather than being linked to you
- Your Supply Chain warehouse, blueprint library, crafted-product log, import history, notifications and ore orders will be permanently deleted
- Your open Supply Chain claims and craft requests will be cancelled; completed ones may remain for the other member, but your identity will be shown as UNKNOWN, and rejection reasons and notification text you wrote will be removed
- Ore a miner is holding for you will stay with the miner but will no longer be linked to you
- Your Meets room choices, flights and pickup requests will be permanently deleted; meet photos you shared will stay in the meet's members-only archive, no longer linked to you and shown as shared by UNKNOWN
- Activity-log entries attributable to your account and entries targeting records deleted with your account will be removed; known username references in remaining relevant log details will be anonymised
- You will lose access to all member-exclusive content
- You will need to re-register and re-verify through Discord to create a new account
7.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Removal from the Obsidian Squad Discord server
- Loss of required Discord roles
- Conduct harmful to other users or the community
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
7.3 Administrator-Initiated Deletion
Where we terminate or delete an account under Section 7.2, the same removal of data described in Section 7.1 is carried out. In addition, a separate activity-log entry is created recording only that an administrator carried out a deletion and which administrator did so, for accountability purposes. That entry does not identify the deleted account in any way and is not created when you delete your own account under Section 7.1.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 "As Is" Basis
THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8.2 No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that the Website will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict the availability of all or any part of the Website at any time without notice.
8.3 3D Printing Disclaimer
3D print files are provided for informational and personal use purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding print quality, compatibility with your equipment, or fitness for any specific purpose. You assume all responsibility for the safety and quality of your prints.
8.4 Mining Board, Supply Chain and Blueprints Disclaimer
The Mining Board, the Supply Chain, the Blueprints page, and any third-party gameplay data displayed through them (including blueprints, recipes, crafting times and where to find blueprints) are provided as coordination and informational tools only. Stock, quality and location records are entered by members and may not match the game. We do not guarantee the accuracy or continued availability of ore, refinery, scan-signature, location, or other gameplay information, and we are not responsible for changes made by Star Citizen or third-party data providers. You remain responsible for your own in-game decisions and arrangements.
8.5 Meets Disclaimer
Room shares, lifts, airport pickups and any other arrangements made through the Meets page are arrangements between the members involved. Obsidian Squad does not check, arrange, guarantee or supervise them and is not a party to them, and you are responsible for your own travel, bookings, costs and safety. Hotel prices, group rates, times and travel information are posted in good faith but may change or be wrong - always confirm them with the hotel or travel provider before relying on them.
Events listed for a meet (for example a meal, a tour or an activity) are usually run by other businesses, not by Obsidian Squad. Their times, prices, addresses and availability are posted in good faith but may change - check with the venue or organiser before you go. Taking part is your own choice, on that business's own terms, and at your own risk and cost.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OBSIDIAN SQUAD AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Unauthorised access to your account
- Errors or inaccuracies in content
- Personal injury or property damage arising from your use of the Website
- Any damages arising from 3D printing activities
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Obsidian Squad and its officers, members, and volunteers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Website
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of third parties
- Any content you submit to the Website
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Website. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
We may also ask all members to review these Terms and our Privacy Policy again. When we do, a notice appears when you next use the Website while logged in, and you will need to confirm that you have read and understood both documents before you can continue using member features. If you do not wish to accept them, you can log out, and you may ask us to delete your account (Section 7).
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Obsidian Squad regarding your use of the Website and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
15. Contact Information
